IntraNetting is an Intranet client application for NT Netting allowing
the participants in the netting online access:
- to input, edit and delete
- to review their payments and receipts
- to approve or reject
- to match and reconcile with their TMS or GL
all using a standard browser.
- Controlled and secure access to the application via username and password.
Secure audit trail of major events. The actual level of security can
be determined by the corporate Intranet manager using, for example,
trusted domains.
- Participants can add and modify transactions. Transactions
can be invoices, gross flows or currency ask and currency offers.
- The counterparty and currency are look-ups from the
central Netting Centre databases. For example, if the Netting Centre
adds a participant or currency in NT Netting this becomes immediately
available to all participants using IntraNetting without any upload
or download of data.
- Because of the controlled and synchronised environment
between IntraNetting and NT Netting, the number of errors in transactions
that are uploaded to the Netting Centre is substantially reduced and
therefore the Netting Centre has to spend less time fixing problems.
- Participants can upload transactions to the Netting
Centre. These transactions can either be input directly using IntraNetting
or extracted directly from the general ledger and uploaded.
- Participants can match invoices and forward contracts. This can be done either manually or through the upload of a file extracted from the general ledger.
- Participants can discuss and accept or reject contentious
transactions through an optional counterparty approval module.
- Participants can view their up-to-date netting message
whenever they want instead of when the Netting Centre decides to send
out the message.
- There is no need for participants to send accompanying
faxes or e-mails to the counterparties indicating what invoices are
being covered by what payments: this is all clear from their netting
message, which they can view on-line. This saves a considerable amount
of administrative time throughout the group.
- Participants can modify their own contact information
and do other administrative tasks. This releases the Netting Centre
from a lot of time-consuming administrative work that belongs with the
participants themselves and not with the Netting Centre.
- Participants can view contact information for all other
participants in the netting. For example, if they want to contact a
counterparty to resolve a problem with an unpaid invoice, they can use
IntraNetting to look up the name and telephone number of the contact.
- Participants can view their own bank instruction information
to verify that it is correct.
- Participants can e-mail the Netting Centre from within
the application.
- There is a full audit trail of all the major events
that have been undertaken on the system.
