Typically or traditionally, an input program was distributed to all participants. This would then be used to input their transactions and send them (via e-mail or fax) to the Netting Centre. This solution gave rise to problems of:

• Synchronisation of data,
• Distribution of software,
• Maintenance and support,
• Availability of message information.

With the increasing use of the corporate Intranet as a standard means of communication within a corporate group, the problems of data input by the subsidiaries can be solved. The solution is IntraNetting.

IntraNetting is an Intranet client application for NT Netting, combining the latest in netting technology and the power of your internet browser. IntraNetting allows participants in the netting to access, input and view their netting information on-line using their standard internet browser.

ADVANTAGES:

IntraNetting empowers all participants in the netting. They become the true users of the netting system:

• More information is available to them earlier in the netting process and on demand.
  
  
• Using the counterparty approval module, participants can resolve amongst themselves any disputes, without involving the Netting Centre.
  
  
• Reconciliation with ERP is facilitated with the delivery of a data file to the participant.
  
  
• In addition the amount of time spend administering the netting by the Netting Centre is reduced to a minimum.

IMPLEMENTATION:

• The system installs onto any Windows Web server such as Microsoft IIS 6.

• The system is ready to run and can be installed within a matter of days of the customer giving the go-ahead. The installation and training takes two days.
