The new module, called Excluded Transactions, allows business units to input or import payments to any counterparty, but then uses a set of rules to determine if that business unit can settle multilaterally. If not, the business unit, can now settle bilaterally, outside the usual centralised netting settlement process.
The same functions, such as matching, ledger difference analysis, import, discussion and dispute process are available for all transactions whether intended for bilateral or multilateral settlement.
