Clare, one of our directors, used to work for UNHCR. So when approached by one of her old colleagues with an offer to support his charity fundraising, we were more than pleased to oblige. This is how we came to sponsor Matthew Plumb in the Mongol Rally in 2010.

We are delighted to say that Matthew made it from Milan to Ulan Bator in his much used and abused Nissan Micra, raising money for charity through sponsorship and donations and auctioning the car at the end of the rally. After that many miles was he pleased to say goodbye to it?

Mongol Rally, pictures and video. As you can see some of the roads are a little uneven!

Well, Matthew is back behind the wheel again. This time it is just for fun. Matthew is entered into the Hyundai Coupe Cup. The car is almost ready and he will be racing on various circuits in the UK over the course of the year.

We will follow Matthew’s progress and report results on this blog. Matthew himself is very modest about his chances but we will be cheering him on and hopeful for his place on the podium.

Here’s how the race car looks (tumblr blog pics) and more details of the race meetings and here is a link to the race club organiser's website

Good luck Matthew!
